Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalency accepted.
  • Experience with CAD and prototyping to fabrication-ready drawings.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14971 risk management and regulatory approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Develop unmet needs and voice of the customer requirements; create design inputs.
  • Concept development and design development for biomedical devices.
  • Create specifications, test methods, processes, and manufacturing methods.
  • Develop test protocols including benchtop, in vitro, and in vivo testing and write reports.
  • Apply analytic methods to evaluate concepts and designs and ensure compliant documentation.
  • Conduct risk analyses per applicable standards and maintain design controls.
  • Collaborate with physicians, researchers, manufacturers, and project partners.
  • Support regulatory submissions and participate in design reviews.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Master’s degree or equivalent
