In accordance with the needs of the populations served by ABA Support Services LLC, the Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist will organize and maintain data collection and analysis systems, assist with behavioral assessments and program implementation, support clinical activities and staff/parent training, and assume lead therapist duties in their absence.

Note: The features of this position are subject to change at the discretion of ABA Support Services and the Management Team. This job description outlines essential functions but is not an exhaustive list of duties.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
  2. Assist lead therapist with graphing, data summarization, and calculations.
  3. Write progress notes, update programs, create session materials, and maintain program books.
  4. Participate actively in baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
  5. Assist in session preparation and cleanup, including setting up client rooms and equipment.
  6. Support case-related duties such as protocol dissemination, reviews, and staff/parent training.
  7. Utilize safe handling and management procedures when working with clients.
  8. Provide direct client care following behavioral protocols, in one-on-one or group settings.
  9. Lead therapist responsibilities in their absence.
  10. Shadow, co-treat, or treat a minimum of 2-4 hours weekly.
  11. Report parent concerns to the lead therapist.
  12. Report suspected child abuse within 24 hours.
Requirements
  • Must have own transportation and provide proof of registration and insurance.
  • Check email daily.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to assume various postures for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow clients and pivot quickly.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and restrain clients as needed.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Visual acuity for work accuracy.
  • Manual dexterity for keyboard use.
  • Ability to travel between locations.
  • Supervision of at least 5% of billable hours weekly.
  • Ability to sit for extended computer use.
Reporting Relationship
  • Report to the Supervising Behavior Analyst, HR, and Office Manager as appropriate.
  • No direct supervision of personnel.
Qualifications
  • Experience in reputable clinics, homes, or schools preferred.
  • At least 1 year of direct service experience with children with Autism.
  • Willingness to learn early learning curricula and behavioral principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with children across a range of functioning levels.
  • Motivated, with a strong work ethic and minimal supervision needed.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 60 college credits or higher in related fields preferred.
Experience

Experience with behavioral services for children with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Related Training
  • Maintain current CPR, seizure, child abuse reporting, crisis management, and RBT certifications.
  • Complete IBHS training and the RBT process within specified timelines.
  • Maintain basic computer skills.
