Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers. You will learn how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service to guests.

No prior experience is required; you will be trained in the necessary skills and supported as you grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Legal work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic automotive services such as mounting/balancing tires and oil changes.
• Train with experienced technicians to expand service knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding guest service and communicate clearly about guest vehicles.
• Support teamwork to meet guest expectations and company standards.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and handle manual tasks including lifting.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. As an Entry Level Automotive Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by learning how to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service.

Shift Information

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous automotive preventative maintenance experience or Previous formal automotive training

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

• How to complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filters replacements, and more
• Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
