Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician at our Kyle, TX location. You’ll perform basic mechanical repairs, oil changes, tire services, alignments, and inspections while building hands-on auto care skills.

Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $28.00 per hour plus flag hours on production. We offer competitive bi-weekly pay, benefits, vacation, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
• Current, valid Driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection or Repair Order
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor
• Adheres to company policies and procedures per handbook
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed
