Avis Budget Group in Kenner, LA is hiring an entry-level automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on a fleet of newer vehicles. You will learn hands-on with training and may assist senior techs on diagnostics to grow your skills.

The role is on-site with shift-based pay, benefits, and opportunities to pursue ASE certification. Candidates should have a driver’s license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 6 months auto maintenance experience or relevant coursework.
• Ability to obtain ASE certification within the first year.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair on fleet vehicles (oil/fluids, tires, rotations, basic repairs).
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics as needed.
• Support vehicle availability and safe, dependable rental experiences.

This includes oil and fluid services, tire changes, rotations, basic repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks, all performed in a safe and quality-focused manner.Depending on your experience, you may assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as you continue to develop your skills.
