Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience in Goodyear Auto Service centers by learning to perform basic automotive services while delivering outstanding service.

Experience isn’t required; you’ll be trained in skills needed and encouraged to grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with solid benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Demonstrates a commitment to learning new technologies in the automotive industry.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; additional certifications are a plus.
• Previous automotive preventative maintenance experience or formal automotive training.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to mount and balance tires, perform oil changes, and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Train with mid and senior automotive technicians to learn additional services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service with clear communication and vehicle feedback.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations and deliver quality service.
• Maintain adherence to company policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting tires and wheels.

Shift Information

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays
