Job summary

A well-established automotive supplier in the Greater Indianapolis area is hiring an Entry Level Buyer to join its Supply Chain department. This full-time role is ideal for recent graduates with 0-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain. Candidates will manage procurement activities, analyze supplier performance, and assist in the RFQ processes. The position offers a structured mentorship, hands-on experience, and requires residency in the Indianapolis area. Good analytical and Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with RFQ processes, vendor negotiations, or strategic sourcing is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems or inventory control is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities including issuing and tracking purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier scorecards to track KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering.
