Leidos is seeking an entry-level Applications Engineer to join our team, acting as a key link between engineering and customers. You will help with product implementation, system integration, and troubleshooting while building technical expertise under veteran engineers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with OEM customers, support for test systems, and opportunities to travel domestically and internationally as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with automotive OEM customers to develop, install, and commission test systems at manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with customers to design and improve vehicle manufacturing and testing processes.
• Support validation of ECUs and vehicle systems in lab or production environments.
• Perform diagnostic testing on vehicles and develop software tools for testing.
• Create and maintain programs and scripts to test vehicle electrical functionality.
• Develop tools to support deployment, setup, configuration, and maintenance of systems.
• Troubleshoot and enhance software/hardware solutions in automotive settings.
• Assist with integration of test systems into customer IT and plant networks.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve production efficiency, reliability, and quality.
• Travel to customer sites (domestic and occasional international) for installations and support.
