AutoNation in Carlsbad, CA seeks a dedicated Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with adherence to factory standards. You will perform warranty and non-warranty work, document findings, and communicate progress with the service team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• ASE certification or successful pre-employment testing is preferred.
• General mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow repair instructions.

Responsibilities

• Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per dealership and factory standards.
• Follow factory and dealership repair procedures when performing warranty work.
• Participate in service technician training programs and in-dealership activities.
• Record cause of failure and work performed clearly on repair orders.
• Communicate with service manager and team to confirm diagnosis, status, and completion.
