Job summary

Walser St. Paul Subaru is seeking an entry level technician to perform basic maintenance tasks at a climate controlled shop in St. Paul.

The role includes oil changes, tire inspections, and other light maintenance while ensuring safety rules and Walser's core values are followed. The ideal candidate has oil change experience or automotive training, is comfortable working with a partner, and holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physically able to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
• Prior oil change or automotive school/training is strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be punctual and reliable and able to work well with a partner.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks: oil and filter changes, tire inspection/repairs, bulbs, lubrication, belt inspection/replacement, hose inspection, and visual checks of vehicle parts.
• Inspects and services brakes; performs pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and other light maintenance as assigned.
• Uses Truvideo/Estimate Tool and adheres to safety guidelines (safety eyewear, hard-toed shoes).
