Job summary

Bergey's is seeking a skilled automotive technician at Bergey's Kia, VW, Mazda in Wilkes Barre, PA. You will diagnose and repair vehicles across all areas and may specialize in particular systems, with prior experience as an A or B-Class general service technician.

You will perform repairs per repair orders, communicate with parts, document work, road test as needed, and pursue opportunities for advancement within a family-owned dealership that values customers and associates alike.

Qualifications

• ASE Certifications required and recognized by the dealership.
• State Emission Certification required for compliance.
• State Vehicle Inspector Certification preferred for inspections.
• Valid Driver's License required for fleet operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnoses and repairs in all areas, with specialization as needed.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts as required, especially under warranty.
• Examines vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed.
• Notifies service advisor if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
