Timbrook Ford of Oakland is seeking an Apprentice Service Technician to kickstart a rewarding career in automotive service. This full-time position offers hands-on training, mentorship from experienced technicians, and a path to growth within the service department.

You will assist with maintenance and repairs, learn diagnostic procedures, document work and parts used, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. A valid driver’s license and curiosity are required; no prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior automotive experience required, just drive and curiosity.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced service technicians with maintenance and repairs.
• Learn diagnostic procedures, parts replacement, and vehicle systems.
• Document all work performed and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Attend ongoing training and development sessions as required.
• Support the service team to ensure top-notch customer satisfaction.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
