Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Interest in building a career in automotive service and repair.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Automotive coursework, technical-school training, or previous hands‑on automotive experience is helpful, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Willingness to learn new automotive technology, tools, and repair procedures.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company requirements, as operating customer and dealership vehicles is an essential function of this position.
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, inspections, and other basic services.
• Assist experienced technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
• Learn to safely use automotive tools, lifts, shop equipment, and diagnostic systems.
• Develop hands‑on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and vehicle systems.
• Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance or repair needs within the scope of your training.
• Complete assigned work according to Mercedes-Benz and dealership procedures and quality standards.
• Accurately document completed work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel to keep the service department running efficiently.
• Participate in training and continue developing your technical skills.
• Safely operate customer and dealership vehicles as required.
