Dave Gill Chevrolet in Columbus, OH is seeking an Entry Level Mechanic to service vehicles as assigned by Service Advisors or Dispatcher. Start by performing basic oil/filter changes, fluid checks, and minor maintenance.

Upon proving readiness, you may enter our Technician apprentice program with pay while you learn. Ideal candidates have an unrestricted driver’s license, a clean driving record, strong work ethic, and interest in vehicle maintenance with solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of vehicle servicing experience.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Expertly checks all fluids and maintains vehicles by topping off or replacing fluids or filters/parts as required.
• Maintains knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact.
• Performs routine service inspections, changes oil, and lubricates chassis and major components.
• Drives vehicles on-site and around the premises as needed.
• Adapts to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry.
• Performs routine vehicle servicing as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
