Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company in Wisconsin is seeking an Auto Grind Operator Assistant for its on-site finishing department. This entry-level role involves tagging and labeling product, using handheld tools to move parts, and supporting cross-training as an Auto Grind Operator.

You must stand for long periods in a loud production environment, with basic computer skills; forklift use is helpful but not required. 18+ years old and foundry experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• No educational requirements.
• Experience with basic hand tools and hoists preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must tolerate hot conditions and loud environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous foundry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Practice high level of safety at all times
• Maintain cleanliness of work station, tools, and PPE
• Maintain equipment and work area
• Complete full visual inspections of all castings
• Inspect tools and machinery for defects
• Operate air hoists to move parts over 50 lbs.
• Must attend and participate in stretching exercises once per shift
• Attend weekly safety meetings
