Job summary
Avangrid is seeking an entry-level Associate Engineer to support EM&V activities for Non-Wires Alternatives (NWA) and Non-Pipes Alternatives (NPA) portfolios at NYSEG and RG&E in New York. You will assist with modeling, analysis, and evaluation to address distribution system needs and regulatory compliance, working across teams.
The role involves collaboration with engineers, performance of technical reviews, and participation in program development to advance New York’s clean energy
Qualifications
- BS or BT in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- 0–2 years of experience (industry related).
- Knowledge of electric and gas distribution system design and modeling.
- Able to work in a team environment across functional departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ongoing engineering and technical support for NWA/NPA projects.
- Conduct modeling and analyses to address system needs and project viability.
- Support procurement activities including RFP development and developer Q&A.
- Assist with regulatory compliance reviews and cost analyses.
- Prepare documentation for distribution system improvements and energy programs.
