Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Entry Level Assembler in Bedford, PA to safely assemble equipment following detailed work instructions. You’ll use mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools in a clean manufacturing environment, with emphasis on safety and quality. No prior experience required; training provided.

The role features four 10-hour shifts, onsite work, and a contract-to-hire path. Eligible benefits include medical, dental and vision plans, a 401(k), life and disability insurance, HSA

• Interest in mechanical assembly and production.
• Reliability and punctuality in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, subassemblies, wires, hoses, and hydraulic components according to detailed work instructions.
• Install accessories such as lights, cameras, decals, mud flaps, and other related equipment on assembled units.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, torque guns, and measuring devices to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Drill and tap holes to route wiring, hoses, and other components as required by the design and work instructions.
• Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, schematics, and standard work instructions to ensure correct assembly.
• Position and secure parts using templates, fixtures, and other alignment tools to maintain consistency and quality.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment when required to move and position components safely.
• Cross-train and work in different assembly areas based on production needs to support overall team performance.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting work, identifying issues, and taking corrective action as needed.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
• Work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and handling tools and components throughout the day.
