Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an entry-level Architect-in-training to join a multidisciplinary team in St. Louis. You will work under licensed architects to support design development, documentation, and client-facing graphics.

Expect collaboration across design leaders and project teams while building a strong portfolio. Ideal candidates hold an accredited architecture degree, demonstrate strong creative ability, and show excellent communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture required by hire date.
• Strong design portfolio is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Revit and Enscape preferred. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design process under supervision using software like Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp.
• Build physical building models.
• Produce architectural documentation under supervision.
• Prepare graphics materials for client presentations under supervision.
• Assist with product research under supervision.
• Assist with building code information research as directed.
• Review shop drawings and submittals under supervision.
• Attend in-house project team meetings.
• May visit job sites to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
