Bartlett Tree Experts in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join a professional tree care crew. This entry-level position offers hands-on, on-the-job training and exposure to pruning, rigging, cabling, and removal on residential and commercial properties.

You will learn safety procedures, operate tools and equipment, and support Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders while developing practical skills in arboriculture and safety.

Qualifications

• Interest in outdoor work year-round.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Degree in Arboriculture or related field is preferred but not required.
• Prior tree care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job to safely perform arboriculture tasks such as pruning, rigging, cabling, and removal.
• Operate and maintain equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Follow safety rules and company safety policies.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Support with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
