Bartlett Tree Experts in New Milford, CT is seeking an entry-level Arborist Climber Trainee to join a professional tree-care crew. This hands-on role offers on-the-job training and exposure to pruning, rigging, cabling, and hazardous-tree removal on residential and commercial properties.

You will learn safety rules, operate a variety of equipment, and support with driving and parking duties while developing skills in arboriculture. A driver’s license and a passion for the outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and safely perform all arboriculture tasks.
• Interest in outdoors year-round and in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job to safely perform all arboriculture tasks: tree climbing, pruning, rigging, cabling and bracing.
• Assist with removal of hazardous trees and with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Operate equipment such as hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Maintain safety procedures and adhere to company safety policies.
• Support Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
