Job summary

Daifuku in Fort Myers, FL seeks an entry-level Maintenance Technician to assist with preventive, routine and emergency maintenance of Baggage Handling Systems and Passenger Boarding Bridges. You will work under supervision, read repair manuals, and perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments.

Responsibilities include clearing jams, performing inspections, cleaning and greasing, and adhering to safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanical experience or 1 year of BHS/PBB experience, or be able to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Ability to work non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic maintenance tasks including preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams; shift inspections, cleaning, and/or electrical and mechanical adjustments.
• May diagnose equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensure equipment is running safely.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager’s instructions.
• Works in tight and/or high spaces utilizing PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Completes training and complies with company policies and procedures.
