Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking an entry-level Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) in Seattle to help maintain the safety and reliability of our fleet. You will work with Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) and perform inspections, repairs, and installations under guidance, gaining hands-on experience across aircraft interiors and systems.

We value safety, English proficiency, a high school diploma, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections to locate damage, defects, or wear that may affect safety, reliability, or customer experience.
  • Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection.
  • Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel.
  • Test machinery, mechanical equipment, components, and parts for defects.
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following drawings and manuals.
  • Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts using hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform work activities.
