Entry Level Aerospace Manufacturing (CPP Syracuse) (Chittenango, NY)

Manufacturing and Production Entry Level Positions – Multiple Shifts (1st, 2nd, or Weekend) and Part Time Positions Available.

We are an investment casting foundry for the aerospace and defense industry creating parts for jet engines, wind and gas turbines, and other critical aerospace components.

We are hiring for many manufacturing and production positions in aerospace. Qualified candidates will discuss specific roles they are interested in and qualified for. Positions are open at CPP Syracuse located in Chittenango, NY and are available on a variety of shifts.

CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE‑EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST & BACKGROUND STUDY PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspecting, cleaning, sorting, resizing, and weighing virgin wax to prepare for injection and assembly processes.
• Weighing and preparing slurry mixtures for the creation of ceramic molds.
• Building and deconstructing crucibles used to melt metals in a furnace.
• Inspecting and preparing molds for the melted alloys to be poured into.
• Using state‑of‑the‑art automation robots to assemble molds and prepare them for the casting process.
• Using NDT technology to X‑ray each part to ensure no internal defects are present.
• Operating equipment such as computers, robots, metal shear, injection mold machines, hydraulic press, plasma torch, grinders, cut‑off saw, cranes, and forklifts.
• Collaborating, multitasking, and providing guidance to colleagues as required.
• Adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: No prior experience required; training is provided. Prior manufacturing or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are needed.
• Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license is a plus, but not required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents and to speak effectively with team members, engineers, and leadership.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; use basic gauges and measuring devices.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to handle problems with several variables in standardized situations; follow written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.
• Reliability: Commitment to work overtime as needed and dedication to the Chittenango, NY facility.

Working Conditions

• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
• Physical effort includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
• Repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms is required.
