Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, Ohio seeks an Entry Level Chemical Clean Process Technician for 1st shift (Mon-Fri) to learn and perform chemical and mechanical cleaning of gas turbine engine components.

The role includes extensive in-house training and hands-on experience with caustic and acidic cleaners, as well as observation of safety procedures and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Some work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machines, equipment, and workplace safety.
• Ability to follow directions and read work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members within a structured training program.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow detailed procedures in processing engine components throughout the chemical clean line process, using various methods in the preparation of the part for repair and overhaul.
• Perform various cleaning operations, such as chemical cleaning, power wash, nitric strip, paint strip and titanium oven bakes.
• Routinely use overhead cranes and ensure cleansing tank times and parameters are adhered to during the process.
• Demonstrate, on a consistent basis, the ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Accurately log all process and results in department job log.
• Communicate all work-related problems and issues with supervisors or other departments in a timely and efficient manner.

Education

High school or technical school graduate or equivalent
