Job summary

Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing is seeking a Buyer to join the Purchasing/Procurement team in Cerritos, CA. The role covers day-to-day sourcing, RFQ execution, and supplier coordination to support on-time delivery and inventory management.

You will analyze forecasts, manage supplier relationships, and execute purchasing tasks while leveraging ERP systems. The position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 0–2 years of related experience is common for entry-level Buyer I roles.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, SAP, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier forecast using qualitative and quantitative methods to support customer service and inventory management objectives.
• Execute RFQs for new projects and perform purchasing tasks that support core activities and KPI goals.
• Track forecast, evaluate risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
• Assist with selecting, ordering, and coordinating materials or services for production based on engineering and specifications, while improving pricing, quality, service, delivery performance, and lead times.
• Complete daily purchasing system processes (commodity/buyer codes, exception messages, and order acknowledgments), including returns to suppliers (RMA’s), resolving items within 24–48 hours.
