Job summary

U.S. Bank in Milwaukee is seeking an entry-level Accountant to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting operations from Day One.

You will maintain the general ledger, prepare financial statements, and help uphold GAAP-compliant controls while collaborating with management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in financial accounting activities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; GAAP knowledge; accounting, reporting, and analysis; ability to identify and resolve exceptions and analyze data.

Job Description

Launch your accounting career while gaining practical experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting operations. You will support general ledger activities, prepare financial statements and reports, and help maintain accounting systems and controls. This is a great opportunity to develop your accounting knowledge while gaining exposure to management, auditors, and regulatory reporting.

Job Description:

  • Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Two to three years of experience in financial accounting activities

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $22.50 - $30.00
