Base pay range

Location: USA-Based (Remote, EST hours)

Compensation: $5–$15/hour

Schedule: Part-Time (Under 5 hours/week, up to 20 hours/month; potential to convert to Full-Time after training and performance)

NextGen Coding Company is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to support finance operations with a focus on accuracy and consistency. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This is a part-time role with flexible hours and the opportunity to grow into a larger financial operations role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly contractor payments and ensure timely, error-free execution.
• Assist in preparing end-of-month P&L statements and supporting financial documentation.
• Maintain clean, up-to-date records of accounts payable and receivable.
• Track and reconcile expenses related to ongoing client projects and internal budgets.
• Support financial reporting, bookkeeping, and administrative finance tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate with leadership to align payment cycles and financial statements with company milestones.
• Work with teams engaged in full-stack software, APIs, cloud, AI/ML, and blockchain to ensure financial visibility on tech projects.

Performance Expectations:

• Maintain extremely high accuracy across all transactions, payments, and reports.
• Deliver all recurring financial reports and payments on time without follow-up.
• Show initiative and dependability in improving or streamlining routine processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic experience or education in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and accounting tools like QuickBooks or Wave.
• U.S.-based and available during Eastern Time Zone hours.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion and integrity.
• Interest or prior exposure to working with tech companies in fields like AI/ML, blockchain, cloud, or web development is a plus.
