Job summary

Everwise Credit Union is seeking an Accountant to prepare and review journal entries, internal and external financial statements, and schedules with accuracy and timeliness in a collaborative environment. You will reconcile general ledger accounts, assist customers with accounting issues, support staff with detailed transactions, evaluate procedures, and respond to inquiries from regulators and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business or equivalent practical work experience in the accounting field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in financial services or credit unions.
• Understanding interdepartmental relations and service expectations for Everwise Credit Union.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and review general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Assist internal and external customers with accounting issues.
• Support Accounting staff with transactions and detailed analyses.
• Evaluate procedures and improve methods within the department.
• Research inquiries from Federal and State examiners and auditors.
• Take on additional responsibilities as delegated by the Accounting Supervisor.
