Job summary

LeClaire Manufacturing in Bettendorf, IA is seeking a dependable 3D Core Technician to support our aluminum casting operations. This hands-on role involves cleaning and finishing printed sand cores and preparing them for the next step in production.

No prior 3D printing experience is required—training will be provided. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and comfortable working with basic hand tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• No prior 3D printing experience required; training provided.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse is helpful but not required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean 3D printed sand cores using hand tools, compressed air, vacuums, and other approved cleaning equipment.
• Remove loose and excess sand from printed cores.
• Visually inspect cores for damage, broken features, excess sand, or other defects.
• Carefully handle and move cores to prevent damage during cleaning, inspection, and packaging.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and quality requirements for different core designs.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Communicate any quality concerns or damaged cores to the appropriate team member.
• Perform other related production duties as needed.
