Job summary

BlockReel is seeking an entry-level 1st AC for a visually-driven music video in New York. You will pull focus, manage lenses, and support the DP while gaining hands-on experience on a fast-paced set.

Responsibilities include maintaining camera gear and ensuring readiness for 2-3 shoot days in October 2026, with 10–12 hour days. Training may be provided, and lunch/snacks are provided on set.

Qualifications

• Entry-level camera assistant experience required or encouraged.
• Basic understanding of camera systems and on-set workflow.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Pull focus during shoots and maintain camera equipment.
• Prepare lenses and accessories for daily filming needs.
• Assist the Director of Photography with camera department tasks.
• Ensure camera is ready and functioning properly throughout the shoot.
