Job summary

Responsibilities include supporting Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts, maintaining tools and work area, and collaborating with a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years minimum in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic machines and hand tools and basic maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
• Read a tape measure and use measuring tools.
• Operate forklift to move materials.
• Set up shear, saw, drill press, and ironworker.
• Identify grades of sheet metal and pipe.
• Read plans and blueprints and work from sketches.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects.
• Contribute to Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts.
• Adhere to company policies and keep area clean.
• Create a safe, sanitary working environment.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Be flexible with hours to meet plant requirements.
