Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking an entry-level Controls & Tuning Support Engineer I. This 2-year training program leads toward a Commissioning Tuning Engineer role, with hands-on lab work and field experience.

The role includes structured classroom and lab learning, rotational on-the-job training, and milestones to track progress in turbine controls and combustion tuning engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials and regulations.
• Basic computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Be available for travel up to 50% for training assignments.
• Successfully complete the Turbine Controls Engineering training and development program.
• Develop understanding of Gas Turbine operations and control systems.
• Assist with basic logic and graphics modifications under supervision.
• Participate in hands-on lab sessions for wiring, signal tracing and calibration.
• Support senior engineers during combustion tuning activities.
• Observe and assist in troubleshooting to develop diagnostic skills.
• Learn and follow safety protocols and documentation procedures.
