Job summary

Yoh is seeking an entry level Battery Cell Process Engineer in Mountain View, CA. You will support laboratory-scale pouch cell development, assist senior engineers with pilot-line operations, and help with DOE studies for improved yield and performance.

Responsibilities include handling slurry preparation, coating, stacking, sealing, electrolyte filling, and cell formation, plus maintaining records and safety documentation in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory battery manufacturing or pouch cell assembly.
• Experience in lab, cleanroom, or glovebox environments handling chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Support pouch cell production including slurry prep, coating, calendaring, stacking, sealing, and formation.
• Operate and maintain pilot-line equipment and related systems in dry rooms and glove boxes.
• Assist with DOE studies to improve cell consistency, yield, and performance.
• Record results and maintain process records, SOPs, and safety documentation.
• Investigate fabrication issues and support corrective actions under senior guidance.
