Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is hiring an Arborist Ground Person in Raleigh, NC. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in pruning, rigging, cabling, and tree removal on commercial and residential properties, under the supervision of experienced arborists.

You will learn safety procedures, equipment operation, and proper work-zone practices while contributing to a professional, safety-first environment that values ongoing career development and internal advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• A passion for nature and the outdoors.
• Willingness to work year-round in all weather.
• Positive attitude and ability to join a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior tree care/landscaping experience preferred but not required.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all arboriculture tasks.
• Prune trees and assist with rigging, cabling and bracing.
• Assist with removal of hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Follow work zone safety procedures and company safety policies.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Support driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
