Job summary

University of Central Oklahoma seeks an Entrepreneur in Residence to cultivate an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the College of Business. The role mentors students, teaches entrepreneurship courses, and fosters industry partnerships to advance experiential learning in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success as a founder, executive, or senior leader of one or more startup companies.
• Experience raising capital, launching products, or scaling organizations.
• Knowledge of entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and venture development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
• Teach courses within the entrepreneurship major.
• Lead office hours, workshops, and other entrepreneurial programming.
• Develop and contribute to curriculum and experiential learning initiatives.
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, accelerators, incubators, and regional economic development actors.
