Job summary

K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC seeks an Entitlements Manager to lead land development entitlements. You will work with internal teams, city/county agencies, and subcontractors to secure approvals and manage entitlement strategies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Job travel is 10% with strong focus on schedules and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal departments, city and county government agencies, and subcontractors to satisfy entitlement contingencies for assigned communities.
• Ensure all plans and required submittals are processed with the appropriate government body to obtain approvals.
• Develop entitlement strategies, submissions and presentations as necessary.
• Obtain entitlement and permit approvals for projects.
• Manage the entitlement process while maintaining community schedules.
• Prepare project schedules through the permitting process and ensure schedule compliance.
• Coordinate land surveys, easements, and work with surveyors, engineers, etc. to ensure work is done as required.
• Coordinate all aspects of bond exoneration.
• Coordinate with homeowner's associations to resolve project related issues through community closeout.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Urban Planning, Construction or Engineering

Requirements

• a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university focusing on Business, Urban Planning, Construction or Engineering
• minimum of 3 years' related experience
• an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Successful candidate must maintain a valid driver’s license.
