Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford seeks an experienced Production Technician to assist in the operation of the Entertainment Department, including set up and tear down of events property wide, and to help prepare stages, lighting, and sound equipment for professional shows.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three years of event/concert production experience, ability to read policies, and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Assistant Production Manager, the incumbent assists in the operational functions of the Hard Rock Entertainment Department including set up and tear down of events property wide, performs fabrication, set-up, assembly, and disassembly of all equipment, scenery, wardrobes, instruments and tools necessary for the preparation of professional shows and performances. Assist in day-to-day operations of department to ensure it functions properly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
• Follow Production policies and procedures related to the entertainment department to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Assist in implementing event operating plans and for Hard Rock Live.
• Assemble and disassemble trusses for lighting shows, soft goods, scenery, drops, curtains, etc.
• Assemble sets and stages, including related light and sound components.
• Load in prior to shows and performances and loads out following shows and performances equipment, instruments, wardrobe, tools, etc.
• Repair and maintain lighting, sound, and fly systems, drops, soft goods, stage and stage floor, musical instruments, etc. to avoid delay or cancellation of performances due to malfunctioning equipment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
• Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or trade school certificate and a minimum of three (3) years of event/ concert production experience performing similar duties required or a combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
• Minimum of 3 (three) years of work experience in event/concert production.
• Ability to read and understand all Hard Rock Northern Indiana policies and procedures.
• Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:

• Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
• Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Pay Range: $2 - $50/
