Job summary

Moelis & Company, a leading global independent investment bank, seeks an experienced Analyst to join its Media financial advisory practice in Los Angeles.

You will support origination and execution through financial analysis, modeling, company and industry research, and the preparation of client presentations, collaborating with senior bankers and clients on deals spanning media, sports, and entertainment sectors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or mathematics is preferred.
• Experience in investment banking or financial advisory is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance and valuation principles.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with ability to translate data into conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Support senior bankers in origination activities by developing company analyses and materials.
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance and build financial models.
• Prepare valuation analyses using comps, DCF and precedent transactions.
• Assess financial implications of mergers and acquisitions to support evaluation.
• Support transaction execution through data gathering and deal materials preparation.
• Conduct company and industry research, including competitive positioning and market share analysis.
• Prepare materials supporting internal credit, compliance, and balance sheet approvals.
