Job summary

SEA LIFE Orlando is seeking an enthusiastic Guest Experience team member to serve as an entertainment host during signature events. You will support meet-and-greet experiences and participate as a costume character walk host, delivering magical moments.

Responsibilities include maintaining the SEA LIFE brand, operating radios, wearing brand-appropriate costumes, and upholding safety while ensuring a high-quality guest experience. Flexible weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy entertaining and interacting with guests.
• Clear and friendly communication with team and guests.
• Able to identify and resolve guest questions or issues.
• Experienced in customer service or entertainment roles is helpful.
• Willingness to work weekends and irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform as entertainment host and support meet-and-greet experiences.
• Wear appropriate costume and makeup aligned with the brand.
• Use radio equipment properly and report any issues.
• Maintain props, performance areas clean and organized.
• Focus on guest experience and uphold brand magic throughout performances.

What you'll bring to the team

SEA LIFE is actively on the lookout to find fun-loving, enthusiastic individuals to join our Guest Experience Team as our entertainment host. Entertainment hosts fulfill fun, physical, interactive acting with strong supported voices to support our amazing meet and greet offering.

Walk Host roles assist a character (both costumed and skin) at SEA LIFE during the signature seasonal events.

We offer $15.00 per hour, flexible schedules, access to all of our Merlin attractions for you and your family, and a FUN work environment!

This a seasonal role with a tentative contract end date of 12/06/2026

About the Role

Here at Merlin Entertainments, our Guest Experience Team’s mission is to adopt a guest-obsessed culture and help create lifelong memorable experiences for our visiting guests.

Entertainment offerings include meet-and-greets, special events, and street experiences.

By applying for this role, you will have the opportunity to assume the following positions:

• Entertainment Host


• Costume Character Walk Host - “Sidekick”

Responsibilities Include

• Ensure that the SEA LIFE brand is maintained throughout your interactions.


• Ensure that you have a working radio on position and that it is used in an appropriate manner as stipulated in your training.


• Ensure that you wear an appropriate costume and that all make-up is relevant to the brand. You must also report any costume/makeup issues


• Ensure that all props are used in the correct manner and treated with respect whilst keeping the performance areas clean and tidy at all times.
  
  
  
  • You must also report any prop issues directly to the Guest Experience Supervisor on Duty.
  
  
  
  


• Ensure the guest experience is at the heart of all performance activities and strive to improve all levels of performance, customer service, ambience, and brand delivery.


• Network and communicate clearly with members of the leadership and acting team.


• Ensure that you are guest focused on all times, interacting with the guests whilst being sympathetic to all attitudes.

• Protect the Magic: React to any flow or batching issues that may arise in a timely manner without breaking the magic of the attraction.

About You

• Has a love for unique characters and magical moments


• Demonstrates strong communications skills internally, with the Orlando team, and externally, with our guests


• Solutions based with strong problem-solving skills to rectify guest questions or challenges


• Experience working in attractions, entertainment, or customer service-based positions


• Able to commit to flexible scheduling, primarily on weekends.
