Job summary

True Zero Technologies is seeking a senior security engineer to assess and implement Zero Trust use cases across FISMA-reportable systems. You will help design system-specific engineering patterns and participate in creating implementation schedules, test plans, and pilot strategies.

The role requires hands-on security engineering experience, working knowledge of NIST SP 800-207, and the ability to document architecture decisions while aligning with RMF and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• Five or more years of systems, security, cloud, network, identity, or application engineering experience
• Hands-on experience implementing enterprise security capabilities in complex environments
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust architectures, NIST SP 800-207, and Federal security requirements
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Assess applicability of prioritized enterprise Zero Trust Use Cases to assigned FISMA-reportable systems
• Develop system-specific Engineering and Implementation Plans using reusable patterns
• Prepare implementation schedules, test plans, deployment playbooks, and pilot strategies
• Support technical implementation, architecture verification, and validation of Zero Trust outcomes
• Document implementation status, architectural deviations, and lessons learned
• Support transition of completed implementations into sustainable operations and RMF processes
