Humana’s Enterprise Transformation team is a high-performing organization that works closely with senior leaders to help chart the course for the company’s future. Transformation is critical to our core strategy: delivering great healthcare to seniors, providing a differentiated healthcare experience, and growing our reach and impact with members and patients. As a member of the Transformation team, you will support the complex and coordinated effort required to execute the enterprise strategy: accelerating our long-term vision by identifying opportunities, designing solutions, and implementing initiatives to fundamentally change the way of working.

The Enterprise Transformation team is modeled after top-tier management consultancies. Team members work on fast-faced and high-visibility projects aligned with the enterprise’s most important Transformation topics. Every day in the role is different, but activities often include developing industry analysis, building high-level financial/business modeling, conducting informational interviews, managing complex projects with numerous stakeholders, and synthesizing recommendations into executive-level deliverables. Work assignments require a combination of strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, workstream management, cross-team collaboration, and storytelling. Team members can align with one of the enterprise’s lines of business, supporting functions, or key Transformation capabilities to become a trusted thought partner for the Transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute quantitative and qualitative analyses to uncover actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Partner with business leaders to provide internal consulting support across operational and strategic topics
  • Create business cases, conduct value analyses, and develop strategic roadmaps for key initiatives
  • Define strategic issues, develop hypotheses, design solutions, and establish implementation plans
  • Evaluate qualitative and quantitative data to identify impacts on key strategies
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with transformation objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong record of academic achievement
  • 2-4 years of full-time work experience in strategy consulting, corporate/business unit strategy, or analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, including understanding of financial concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with business partners to drive strategic initiatives
  • Record of leadership in a work setting and in extracurricular activities
  • Collaborative, flexible, teamwork-oriented working style
  • Commitment to professional and personal growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Transformation program experience
  • Graduate-level relevant degree (e.g. Business, Public Health, Finance, Data Science, Data Analytics, etc.)
  • Healthcare industry experience

Location:

Preferred working locations are: Louisville, KY; Arlington, VA (Washington, DC metro area); Chicago, IL; and New York, NY. The Transformation team operates on a hybrid work arrangement (in office approximately 3 days per week). Fully remote will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$94,900 - $130,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
