KBR is seeking a SATCOM Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO or El Segundo, CA.
KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) contract.
This job supports SSC within the SATCOM Lead Developmental Test and Evaluation Organization (LDTO). Daily tasks include developing T&E strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plans including the Integrated Decision Support Key (IDSK), creating requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria. As part of the LDTO team, you will assess program executed test activities, identify gaps/risks to mission implementation, develop briefings for Integrated Test Team, and execute LDTO-led test events. It is expected all individuals are familiar with DOD T&E guidance documents, deficiency reporting processes, and best practices. This job will also support T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs). This opportunity is part of a larger LDTO team, sitting at both MSEIT locations in Colorado Springs, CO and El Segundo, CA.
The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Developing T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) Development Evaluation Framework, requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
Supporting implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the program
Supporting development of DoD compliant deficiency reporting and resolution system
Supporting T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, math or related technical field
5+ years test and evaluation experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
2+ years demonstrated experience in leading multi-faceted tests and test project teams, to include oversight of scheduling
Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, math or related technical field
Basic Compensation: $107,300 to $134,100 in Colorado and $117,600 to $146,900 in California
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
