Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in San Francisco is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Fall 2026 to join the Enterprise Systems team building software and analytics tools that enable end-to-end engineering for satellite design and production.

You will collaborate with engineers to design, build, and test software, support test operations and production tracking, and contribute to data and AI tooling. Applicants should be pursuing CS/CE, know Python, and be ready to ship meaningful work.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Python.
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our engineering team to design, build, and test software that supports design, test, and manufacturing of satellite hardware.
• Test & Production Infrastructure: help develop and maintain internal applications that support test operations, scheduling, and production tracking across manufacturing.
• Hardware Design & Supply Chain Tools: support internal tools used by hardware design and supply chain teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Self-Serve Automation & Workflows: build automated workflows using orchestration tools to reduce manual work across teams.
• Data, Analytics & AI Tooling: contribute to data warehouse infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, and BI tooling to power business analytics and AI workflows.
