Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Enterprise Engineering Systems Director to lead the Civil Systems Group’s engineering teams in Albuquerque, NM and other locations. You will guide systems engineering and digital engineering efforts for Defense Programs with a focus on delivering integrated, innovative solutions to DOE/NNSA and DoD customers.

This full-time role requires 4+ onsite days, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex systems engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or another technical discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive professional engineering/scientific experience.
• Experience in a managerial/leadership role with effective relationship building.
• Proven technical credibility across systems engineering topics and complex systems knowledge.
• Experience with U.S. government agencies such as DOE/NNSA and DoD.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.
• Current Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Aerospace Enterprise Engineering team to tackle Defense Programs challenges for NNSA.
• Set objectives/goals for the organization and communicate them to teams and interfacing groups.
• Provide strategic leadership consistent with corporate policies and goals.
• Determine organizational structure and staffing needs, budget planning and resource allocation.
• Report progress and results to management and customers, ensuring cost and schedule adherence.
• Identify growth opportunities and pursue new possibilities with senior management.
• Direct engineering design, analysis, or R&D activities and influence customers toward integrated solutions.
