Job summary

The USO is seeking a detail-oriented strategy professional to support enterprise strategic planning, execution tracking, and decision support in Arlington, VA. You will translate inputs into polished reports and help move strategy into action under the VP of SIPMO.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise strategy or related large-scale initiatives, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (nonprofit management, business administration, strategic management, program management, or related field).
• Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• Strong structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear insights.
• Highly self-directed and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Support development of USO's enterprise strategic plan through research, analysis, and synthesis of inputs.
• Prepare executive briefings, board materials, and strategy documents for VP review.
• Identify themes, trade-offs, and decision points within strategy work.
• Track progress, risks, and escalation issues across workstreams.
• Ensure alignment between strategy, execution, and operational realities.
• Collaborate with leaders across functions to maintain operating cadence and deliverables.
