Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants seeks a Solutions Architect to lead the design of large-scale hardware, software, database, networking, and telecommunications solutions for the Laboratory. You will shape objectives, guide architecture, and drive cross-disciplinary, high-impact projects.

The role requires independent judgment, consultative direction, and the ability to manage complex, long-range initiatives with a focus on security, compliance, and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of network, data management, security, hardware, software development, and systems programming technologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated team building experience with technologists.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management, and Oracle PIF.
• Experience maintaining environments that integrate project controls such as estimating, schedules, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Assures safety and security compliance, maintains required safety and security training, and makes safety and security part of every task.
• Adheres to policies, programs, procedures, and practices.
• Researches, assembles, and evaluates information regarding industry practices and regulatory changes affecting telecommunications, data management, security, networking, hardware, software development, and systems programming, and recommends practical solutions to complex issues.
• Leads complex projects requiring in depth analysis, customer requirements gathering, and cross discipline solution sets.
• Researches solutions for complex problems spanning hardware, software development, systems programming, data management, security, networking, telecommunications, and related disciplines.
• Provides technical leadership and architectural direction for complex systems.
• Integrates strategic thinking into solution design to ensure long term business objectives and impact are factored in.
• Formally manages projects from inception through implementation, including documentation and training for users, system administrators, and others who maintain or use the end products.
• Fosters a respectful and inclusive work environment free from discrimination and harassment.
