Summary
The Enterprise Solution Administrator manages inventory and administration of enterprise solutions, ensuring compliance with company policies and vendor terms. This role is crucial for maintaining high IT standards and distribution center operations. In addition to overseeing inventory, the administrator is responsible for implementing and updating enterprise software systems, which involves coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Regular audits and assessments are conducted to verify adherence to company policies and vendor requirements, minimizing risks and enhancing system reliability. Furthermore, the administrator addresses technical issues promptly and provides technical documentation on new tools and applications, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient workforce.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and administration of business solutions, including COTS and PaaS/SaaS platforms, ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
- Perform day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and support of business solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve solution issues, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure all business solutions are updated with the latest patches, upgrades, and security enhancements in accordance with company policy.
- Support the integration of business solutions with existing IT infrastructure and ensure smooth workflows between solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for solution administration, processes, configuration settings, and administration guides.
- Implement policies, standards and procedures to optimize solution performance, security, and data integrity.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all enterprise solutions, ensuring accurate records are kept and regularly updated.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of the inventory, identify any discrepancies, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Define and document clear ownership and responsibilities for each solution, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure accountability and effective management.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust security protocols for all business solutions.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align business solutions with long-term organizational goals.
- Manage the lifecycle of business solutions, including planning for future upgrades, replacements, and retirement.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between solution vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and implementation of enhancements.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation to ensure business continuity and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on current business
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Education
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field of study, or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar area of study preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise solution administration or similar roles.
- Experience with managing enterprise software and solutions.
- Experience in implementing new software solutions.
