Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Secure the Enterprise initiative and contribute to an enterprise cyber security tool using Pig, PySpark, Java, and related technologies. The role supports a SCRUM team, emphasizes automation and data-driven decision making, and may allow telework based on program requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, have a BS in CS or related field, and possess experience in analytics development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• 7 years SWE experience; or 4 additional SWE years on similar projects may substitute for a degree.
• Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance required; no sponsorship for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Pig and PySpark analytics and review data ingest tickets with teammates.
• Deliver reliable, accurate data to end users and ensure day-to-day operations succeed.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to serve as part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project. As a member of the Data Management practice, you will support a SCRUM team to develop and deploy new functionality for an enterprise level cyber security tool.

• Heavily involved with the creation, maintenance, and running of Pig and/or PySpark analytics and is responsible for reviewing data ingest tickets and merge requests with other developers on the team
• Focused on delivering reliable, accurate data to the end users as well as ensuring that day-to-day operations are successful. Including being able to investigate data arriving accurately into the system
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
• Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design

This position may allow for telework based on program requirements.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Seven (7) years' experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required; or four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
