Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to deliver Python-based, cloud-enabled REST services for SIGINT and Cyber Solutions at Fort Meade. The role involves hands-on development across frontend and backend, building scalable components and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will improve software quality by reviewing components, performing tests, and applying design practices, while operating in a Docker/Compose environment and CI/CD tools like Gitlab and Jira.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience; degree substitution allowed with 5 additional years of relevant experience.
• Current Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required; sponsorship not offered.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, JSON, and CSS.
• Experience building REST services; MongoDB and Elasticsearch knowledge.
• Experience with Docker/Compose, Gitlab, and Jira.
• Ability to move between frontend and backend development; AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to provide customer support and infrastructure services with quick response capabilities for SIGINT and Cyber Solutions.

• Works individually or as part of a team
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Resolves software problem reports
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Minimum of seven plus (7+) years of Software Engineering experience. Alternatively, an additional five (5) years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. Education in Bachelor of Science (BS) in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) related field.
