Erias Ventures, LLC in Maryland seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and operate the ANSWERLAKE backend system. You will use Java, NiFi, Docker and Kubernetes to deliver scalable, compliant APIs and data services for diverse customers.

A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph is required; a related bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills are essential. You will join an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented team that values creative problem-solving, open communication, and customer-focused

Competenze

• 20 years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to make significant impact using your JAVA and NiFi skills to support a critical back-end system that support customers across multiple parties? If so, consider applying to ANSWRLAKE project, and it's experienced team, that is positioned to integrate with organizations analytic system and presentation tools to provide a complete picture to the analyst cadre. Responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and operation of ANSWERLAKE, a backend system that provides compliant storage and access for analytic results and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that support enterprise outcomes.

This position may allow for partial telework.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux command line interface
• Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience using system monitoring tools including Grafana and Prometheus
• Experience using Git for version control

Desired Skills

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and tools such as GitLab CI and ArgoCD
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval
• Experience with NiFi for dataflow management and ingestion
• Experience with the Amazon HCI platform
• Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to operate effectively in an Agile development environment and on a multi disciplinary team

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $245,000 - $275,000
